Located in Covenham St Bartholomew
Lincolnshire this 16th century
beautifully thatched grade II listed
building, along with the original old
mill was once the local bake house
of which once produced bread for the
local neighbourhood for three
centuries. The original Mill was
destroyed 1924 but the Mill House
continued to bake bread up until the
last war.
Fred Verity who previously owned the
Mill House built up a very special
restaurant and was renown for its
fantastic food, atmosphere and many
special events such as their Easter
Egg Hunt and even more renown
Christmas winter wonderland
decorations.
New
owners Lee and Sally Austin, who have
many years of experience running
hospitality-based businesses which
includes the very popular Livesey
Arms in Ludborough and The Inn on
The Park
at Grimsby Town FC, have great expectations for
the Mill House and are looking
forward to the new challenge.
Their chef Ant Cron from
Australia, who has worked alongside
Lee and Sally for over two years
will bring with him his fine dining
flare to traditional food using as
many local Lincolnshire ingredients
as possible.
"This is a new beginning for both
Lee, Ant and myself and especially
the Mill House and we all look
forward to seeing you here very
soon." Sally Austin |
